HP JBT Entrance Test 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has released the notification for Two Year Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test-2026 (DElEd CET 2026) for admission in 2 year D.El.Ed/ JBT course to the academic session 2026-28. Interested Candidates can apply online for Two Year Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test-2026 on the Board website www.hpbose.org.
HP JBT Entrance Test 2026 (D.El.Ed. CET-2026)
Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Dharamshala is going to conduct the entrance examination for two-year Diploma Course in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) 2026-28 on 31 May 2026. Candidates who wish to appear in the entrance examination can apply from 04 April 2026. Candidates have to apply online through the board’s website till 26 April 2026.
Candidates applying for the examination will have to deposit the fee through online application. After this, from 27 to 29 April 2026, you can apply with a late fee of 500 rupees. At the same time, corrections will be made in the applications submitted from 30 April to 2 May 2026.
On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Secretary said that the examination for admission in D.El.Ed will be conducted on 31 May 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for JBT Entrance 2026
Minimum Essential Educational Qualifications for D.El.Ed. CET for session 2026-27:
The candidate with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
Or
Candidates appearing in the 10+2 or its equivalent examination are provisionally admitted and they have to produce original certificate of 10+2 or its equivalent examination having requisite percentages at the time of counseling/screening.
Age Limit for HP JBT Entrance (D.El.Ed. CET) 2026
The age limit will be between 17-32 years as on the date of the conduct of D.El.Ed. CET- 2026 for all candidates. Relaxation of five years in the upper age limit shall be given to the candidates of reserved categories as per the existing rules regulation and instructions of the State Government issued from time to time;
Exam Pattern for D.El.Ed. Common Entrance Test 2026
The selection of candidates for admission to 2 Years D.El.Ed. course in 12 DIETs as well as 28 Private Affiliated Institutes of the state (as directed by Govt.) will be held on the basis of merit of written test i.e. Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala.

NOTE: The question papers of Hindi, English and Numerical Ability shall be of 10+2 standard. The
questions of General Awareness will be based mainly on Himachal Pradesh.
Minimum pass marks for D.El.Ed. CET 2026
- 50% minimum pass marks for Un-Reserved (General) category & EWS candidates i.e. 50 marks out of 100.
- 45% minimum pass marks for Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC/PHH) candidates i.e.45 marks out of 100.
- 35% for sports persons (State and National level only) i.e. 35 marks out of 100.
- D.El.Ed. CET – 2026 result shall be declared in the month of July/August, 2026 and will be available on Board’s Website (www.hpbose.org.)

This Common Entrance Test is being conducted for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course (hereinafter referred to as D.El.Ed. (CET)-2026) f the academic session 2026–28. The admissions shall be made on a merit basis to fill seats in various Government DIETs and privately managed institutions across the State of Himachal Pradesh. The Board conducts this test on behalf of State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) under the Department of School Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The successful candidates shall be called for counselling, and seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of merit, in accordance with their preferences.
